The Final Make Marana 2040 General Plan (MM2040GP) is available for review at the MM2040GP Website.
A quick review indicates the Tortolita Preserve is properly shown on the maps and identified with its own land use designation along with the 99-year Lease. The exhibit above is an excerpt from Figure 2-4 (Future Land Use).
The Special Planning Area (SPA) land use designation has been eliminated and the land use to the south and west of the Tortolita Preserve is Low Density Residential---fairly similar to the 2010 General Plan.
In addition, the previously shown roadways going through the Tortolita Preserve have been removed and there is a proposed extension of Dove Mountain Boulevard going directly southwest to the I-10 along with a lower loop connecting to Moore Road---all avoiding the Tortolita Preserve.
The Tortolita Alliance Core Team will be reviewing the Final MM2040GP in more detail but it appears it is ideal.
