Flower Power Re-Run

Updated: Aug 2, 2020

Shirley and I hiked the Tortolita Preserve Trail this morning and the first phase of wildflowers is passing but there are lots of buds on the cactus, palo verde, etc. and we should be blooming again in about 2-4 weeks. In the meantime, how about a Flower Power Re-Run!

The 2019 wildflower season in the Coachella Valley, California (365 miles west of Marana) was exceptional. A cool wet winter provided the perfect environment for a big wildflower bloom. Click on the YouTube video below to view a collage of about 30 different plants/bushes/trees in full bloom along one on my favorite hiking trails, the Bear Creek Oasis Trail (La Quinta). Full screen is recommended.
