The "Telltale" Saguaro along the top of the Upper Javelina Trail has flower buds this morning. Telltale is among the first Saguaro in the Tortolitas to get flowers because it receives first light due to its perfect height and location! Last year it bloomed on April 19. So it seems to be on target!
No wildflowers but beavertail cactus, prickly pear cactus, creosote bush, mesquite tree and ocotillo have some flowers.
Note cactus wren nest in cholla and saguaro with lost arm.
