TA Strategic Plan-Implementation

Tortolita Alliance (TA) Board met with Marana Parks & Recreation (MPR) leaders on 4/30/25 to review and discuss implementation of TA's 2025 Five-Year Strategic Plan (TA Strategic Plan). The group reviewed each strategic item and updated the priority and implementation timing of the various projects and programs. TA Strategic Plan Update is presented below along with the associated Tortolita Preserve Strategic Concepts Map.

Please note that MPR will be updating the 2020 Marana Parks & Recreation Master Plan (MPR Master Plan) in FY 2026. That process will begin in July 2025 and public input will once again be part of the process. For example, TA provided input to the 2020 MPR Master Plan and requested improvements at the Moore Road Trailhead and fencing the western portion of TP. Thanks to MPR and Marana those projects were included in the 2020 MPR Master Plan and were implemented. TA will be participating in the 2025 MPR Master Plan Update public input process and will request that items in the TA Strategic Plan be included---especially the TP trails expansion and trail connections.
