Lake Mead Elevation Projections Worsen

The United States Bureau of Reclamation (USBR) released new Colorado River reservoir level projects (see chart). USBR now predicts Lake Mead has a 66% chance of going below elevation 1,025 feet in 2025. This means that Arizona will have to cut-back a total of 720,000 acre-feet or 26% of its 2.8 million acre-feet/year allotment. Municipal water supplies will be cut back if this level is reached.
