TA Tidbits #63 Late Bloomers

The Sonoran Desert has some unique cacti that bloom one night per year with the flowers lasting only one day. You have to be on your toes to catch these beautiful flowers in bloom.


See photos below of the native Peniocereus greggii (Queen of the Night) that bloomed on 6/10/25 and the non-native Trichocereus Scopulicola (Super Pedro Cactus) that had 8 flowers bloom the same night (6/11/25).
