Tortolita Alliance (TA) presented a $500 check to Marana Park & Recreation (MP&R) Staff as a contribution towards the purchase of an Eco-Counter trail counter to be used at the Tortolita Preserve Trail and other Marana Trails.

This device will enable MP&R staff to record and analyze trail usage by hikers and bikers. The data will be made available to TA. The information gleaned from the trail counter will be helpful for trail logistics, maintenance, and planning future improvements.

Thanks to Mary Grodman and her staff for all their great work. Kim Warner and Chris Garrow do an excellent job keeping the Tortolita Preserve Trail and other Marana Trails in tip-top condition.
