Marana Meltdown
Marana Parks & Recreation (MPR) is holding the Marana Meltdown mountain bike time trial event at the Tortolita Preserve (TP) this Saturday, May 1. See more information and register at the Marana Meltdown Website.
For safety reasons, TP trails will be closed from 6 AM to 12 PM to non-event traffic.
CAP Trailhead & Trail Segment
MPR is also on track to open the Central Arizona Project (CAP) Trailhead & Trail Section on May 15. The trailhead is located at the Tangerine/I-10 interchange. This trail segment extends along the CAP canal a distance of 6.7 miles from the new trailhead, north to the Marana/Pinal County boundary and will ultimately connect to the 336-mile CAP Trail.
